Set mainly in Sweden and Spain this is a true life account written by a self-educated man trapped in the downward spiral of the drug world. His insights and experiences beginning in the 1930′s in pre-war Denmark and accounts of life in Sweden as a young man are starkly contrasted by the later developments leading to his tragic entrapment in the drug society of the 60′s. He also reveals another side of penal institutions throughout Europe. This site belongs to me, Hans Christian Larsen. I have during many years made a living making and smuggling amphetamine. I want to make it quite clear I am not proud of this part of my life but I hope by telling my story to in some way help others and also bring to light certain need for change in the prison and justice systems. Under long periods in the seventies and eighties I took amphetamine orally. I am also an alcoholic and daily adhere to the principles laid out by Alcoholics Anonymous. Before my infamous career started I had worked as a lumberjack in the Swedish forests and also spent years building up a successful trucking company. My criminal life began in 1967 when I was 36 years of age and ended on the 23rd of December 1997 and during that time I had been imprisoned for a total of fourteen years in four different European countries.
In 1998 I started a new life and during the following nine years managed by trial and error, to establish a small timber building company in Spain. I have spent the last twelve months writing my story, Road to the Moon, summarizing my criminal years which I plan to have published in English in 2009. I wrote my book in Swedish and I have now decided to continue writing and working actively in Sweden to help prisoners start a new life. I would like to add that it is mostly due to the Adult Education courses made available to prisoners that I was able to complete my studies and fulfill my childhood dream of becoming a writer; the only formal education I had received prior to that had been six years of primary school in Denmark during the second world war.
